Roofing and siding calculators

Roofing calculators that start from the ground: the footprint of the house and the pitch of the roof give its area, and the area gives the list.

From a footprint to a roof

A roof is larger than the house under it, by its overhangs and by its slope. The pitch says by how much: the calculators turn a pitch into a multiplier, the footprint into a sloped area, and the area into squares, the unit roofing is sold in.

They count from the product’s own label wherever a label decides: bundles to a square, the coverage of a roll, the length a bundle of ridge cap covers. Read yours, and type it over ours.
